Hi, I’m — a husband, father, and deep thinker on a lifelong journey of faith. I believe in the power of words, the truth of Scripture, and the sacred gift of everyday life. This Day is my small corner of the internet, where I reflect on the things that matter most: God, purpose, relationships, and the kind of life that reaches for heaven while walking through the dust of earth.

I don’t have all the answers, but I carry a lot of questions — and a deep conviction that God is not afraid of any of them.

✝️ Why I Write

I started thisday.co.za because I needed space to think out loud, theologically, honestly, and hopefully. A space where faith isn’t boxed into Sunday services or reduced to shallow slogans, but engaged with in the middle of questions, coffee spills, and latenight prayers.

I write with one foot in theology and the other in everyday reality. I’m not a scholar, but I love digging deep into Scripture. I’m not a preacher, but I carry sermons in my bones. I write for people like me, people who love God but wrestle with doubt, who long for meaning but get distracted by life, who want to live faithfully but sometimes feel overwhelmed by the noise.

🧭 My Voice & Values

Everything I write is shaped by:

  • Curiosity I don’t pretend to have it all figured out. I ask, I dig, I pray.
  • Conviction Some truths are worth building your life on. I write to uncover them.
  • Compassion Life is hard. Faith isn’t always neat. Grace is the thread holding it all together.
  • Calling I believe God calls ordinary people into extraordinary obedience, one faithful day at a time.

📚 What You’ll Find Here

You’ll find:

  • Blog posts rooted in Scripture and real life
  • Thoughtful reflections that help you slow down and look up
  • Tools for spiritual growth not performance
  • Conversations that make space for mystery, meaning, and mercy

Some posts are sparked by current events. Others grow out of long conversations, hard days, or moments when God gently whispered something worth sharing.

🏡 A Bit More About Me

Faith is a family thing for me. My roots run deep, passed down from my grandfather to my father, to me, and now to my three sons and my little princess. I’m South African through and through, and when I’m not writing or unpacking life over a cup of strong coffee, I’m probably cheering for Orlando Pirates, Liverpool, or Real Madrid ; sometimes all in the same weekend.

I’ve never had the chance to pursue formal theological study, but I’ve walked long roads with Scripture in my heart and a journal in my hand. I read widely, ask big questions, and try to live slowly enough to hear when God speaks.

🛤️ Join Me on the Journey

This isn’t a platform. It’s a path. If you’re looking for quick fixes or easy answers, this might not be your place. But if you’re searching for spiritual depth, honest reflections, and the grace to keep going, even when life gets loud, then welcome.

Take a deep breath.
Look around.
Let’s walk together.

This day, and every day, is holy ground.
